Intruders usually have no fear of bells or sirens because nobody takes any notice of them any more, but they hate other unusual noises, especially the ones that do attract peoples' attention such as the bang of the Commando MK1.
Obvious useage of the alarm has been on:
Garden sheds
Tool vans
Garages
Outbuildings
Among the unusual useage is:
the trace wire stretched over water to prevent Heron from snatching fish from a pond;
the trace wire put between hedge posts to scare off deer from entering gardens;
the trace wire put between driveway gate posts where there are several vehicles parked;
the trace wire hung along breeding pen fences to protect pheasants from all intruders.
The Commando's safety pin is usually put in place and the trace wire unhooked when the alarm is needed for duty.
If you need to protect attended or unattended premises of any kind then you need the Commando MK1 for:
Up and over doors, ordinary and sliding doors, trapdoors
Up and down or in and out windows, roll-up covers
Lockups, shops, pubs, bars, pavillions, caravans, sheds, garages, tents
Lorries, taughtliners, trailers, boats, motorbikes, bikes, tractors, mowers, mobile or construction plant
The Commando MK1 can be used to protect:
footpaths, yards, gates, alleyways, even pirates from boarding vessels.
bears, deer or other animals from entering camps
As an added bonus, lost walkers, climbers, campers or skiers (but not in avalanche conditions) can identify their position to searchers.
The COMMANDO MK1 Series III can be placed virtually anywhere: it requires no permanent fixing, and it does not require batteries or a power source. Setting it off is very simple. It is done by means of a pull-wire which operates a unique trigger system that is positive and eliminates misfire.
The alarm is made in brass, which is why it is suitable for use indoors or out. It is small, being only app 13.5cm (5.5 in) in length and app 2cm (0.8 in) in diameter, and light in weight app 225g (8ozs). See photographs above. A 9mm blank cartridge, similar in size to the ones used in starting pistols at major sports meetings, is used to create the noise.
In the UK, both the Police, for Neighbourhood Watch, and Trading Standards have carried out their own reviews of the alarm, with no adverse comments, and it is included in the list of exclusions for licences in the Home Office recommendations under the Firearms Act of 1997. It does not need a licence.
Note: In addition to making the Commando MK1, Mr. Roper undertakes gunbarrel blacking and browning from £25.00. Please contact him at any of the points below for full details.

FOR YOUR OWN SAKE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE IT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE
More than half of the customers ordering Commando MK1 alarms waited until after they had been done over, some for a second time!
Can you afford to lose those valuable tools stored overnight in your van, or the garden furniture in the gazebo?
